Mother Lily binigyan parangal ng FDCP

Long overdue ang parangal na ibinigay kay Mother Lily Monteverde last Friday evening ng Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) led by its Chairperson Liza Dino.

Bilang ina ng pelikulang Pilipino, si Mother Lily ang kauna-unahan binigyan ng recognition (award) ng FDCP sa ganitong kategorya.

Present sa parangal that evening ang anak ni Mother Lily na si Miss Roselle Moteverde na katuwang ngayon niya sa pagpa-produced ng mga pelikula para sa kanilang Regal Films.
 
Ang mga regular na direktor ng Regal tulad nina Joel Lamangan, Maryo J. delos Reyes, Jun Lana, Perci Intalan ay dumalo para suportahan at magbigay recognition sa award na iginawad sa film producer.

           

 Syempre; present to give support ang bagong leading lady ng Regal na si Janella Salvador (minus Elmo Magalona).

             

Sa mga millennials na hindi masyado kilala si Mother Lily, for almost five and a half decades, ang dating movie fan named Lily Yu Monteverde ay pinasok ang pagpo-produced ng mga pelikula.

             

Sa kanyang ibinigay na speech that evening, sabi ni Mother Lily: “Regal Films was born out of love---a love for movies.

“Yes, movie making is also a business—a very expensive and high risk business but if the producer has no love for movies, then it is so easy to quit if there is no personal commitment to moviemaking , then it is better to leave,” pahayag ni Mother Lily.

Dagdag pa  niya na “ I take pride that in almost half a century Regal Films … now called Regal Entertainment has remained and always be a family."

Mula sa pamilya ng Regal ay nabuo a g kasaysayan ng movie making na hindi mo mababangit ang mga pangalan nina Elwood Perez, Joey Gosiengfiao at si Luciano B. Carlos na kilala sa mga comedy movies na mas kilala sa tawag na Tatay Chaning.

Sa Regal din nagmula at nagsimula ang mga careers nina Alma Moreno, Rio Locsin, Lorna Tolentino, Cherie Gil at mga original Regal babies tulad nina Maricel Soriano, Sooky Serna, Dina Bonnevie, ang magkapatid na Albert at William Martinez; Gabby Concepcion, Alfie Anido at Richard Gomez.

Pagkatapos ng parangal ng FDCP, hindi doon hihinto si Mother Lily at ang kanyang Regal Entertainment. 

Hangga’t may gusto tumawa, matakot at mangarap sa mga pinapanood nila na pelikula, ipagpapatuloy ni Mother Lily ang paghabi ng ng mga kuwento at ang pagawa nito.
